Jan. 7th, 2008 10:06 pmTo help my cold, I've been taking zinc and Emergen-C, which is a superdose of vitamin C + a reasonable amount of B vitamins (which I tend to be defficient in) + some trace elements (including zinc). It's been working fairly well, but something in that cocktail + my natural longer-than-24-hour sleep cycle has seriously fucked up my circadian rhythm. Last night I was ready to fall asleep about two hours before I had to go to work, so I just stayed up and went to work early. Where I discovered that the building didn't open for another half an hour, but you can trick it by going through the attached bakery. Then I worked for five hours. Then I came home and slept till 7, at which point I was woken up by Davan, who has home and not yet retrieved his keys from the catsitter.
So, I seem to have discovered some sort of caffeine substitute, probably by addressing a vitamin defficiency. I'll report back when I have more details.
