eh. I started this book in the bookstore years ago, and wasn't compelled to finish it. But the library had it on CD, and I needed something for my commute. So now I was listening, an activity that takes significantly less brain power because I'm slowed to the speed of the reader, instead of reading, which I didn't find compelling enough to continue. The spare cycles didn't give me any extra insight, except to realize that all the characters were black, which didn't add much.

On the other hand, the reader was truly awesome. Like, seriously awesome.

Did you get the message I sent last time we were chatting on AIM? About how you should look into getting "His Dark Materials" trilogy on tape? I imagine you must have read them, but they'd be good books on tape anyway. The Golden Compass, The Subtle Knife, The Amber Spyglass
