You know, if my bank said "we're unaware of any problems with our website, but we'll make a note of it.", that would be fine. Continually saying "there's nothing wrong with our website" when I've been unable to connect for two days on multiple computers on different networks is bad customer service. And the slightly bitchy, why are you wasting my time? tone? Not helping.

But-but-but acknowledgement of a mistake means they're making a mistake! And if they're making a mistake and acknowledge fault, then they get sued! Madness.
