There's a scene where the fuck-up cop is supposed to drive the police van full of the drugs and money they stole back to the station. He makes a stop along the way, and the van gets stolen. This could lead to the discovery of their theft.

Vic (corruption ring leader): What the hell were you doing?
Shane (fuck up cop): I went to see Amy...
Vic: YOU STOPPED TO GET LAID?

I love this exchange so much. I'm still thinking about weeks later. First, you have Shane's idiocy. He just does not get which rules can and cannot be broken. It also demonstrates the obvious knowledge the teammates have of each other, which I love. Friendship doesn't get enough attention in television. It's also the start of the "Vic is Shane's angry father" thread. There's got to be more to it than that though, because that doesn't seem like enough to make me love that exchange as much as I do.

Another scene that effects me similarly: Dutch is the quiet, nerdy, wanna-be FBI profiler detective. His confidence nosedived several episodes ago. Meanwhile, Shane is banging a witness in the second interview room.

Dutch: *grabs suspected killer, drags him to the room Shane is vacating* Need the room. That one's had bad mojo for me recently.
Shane: It's all yours, desk boy.

Which is awesome, because Shane is a fuck up who already blew one arrest by banging this girl (back when she was the criminal), and only got his latest one because she threw it in his lap. Meanwhile, Dutch is about to break a murder with nothing but the power of his mind. But because Dutch is a thinker and Shane is a door breaker, Shane is convinced he's superior. And Dutch kin of agrees with him.
