I'm beginning to doubt the plan
Nov. 17th, 2008 06:51 pmI liked Rosalyn more when she was a rising villain, what with her curtailment of civil liberties and firey burning yet oddly controlled hatred of baltar. Now she's just sort of stupid. Honestly, your plan is to betray the cylons by stealing away the cylon who has information you need (when you have no leverage and no way to verify the information), and then have her immediately tell you how to get to your hearts desire and away from her people. Do you see why this plan makes you stupid? At least you rethought they "kill the human she has affection for" part of the plan, even if you did go on a lame vision quest.
Speaking of plans, they writers are going to have to be fucking magic to do everything they've promised in the final 10 episodes. The cylons have a plan? Really? Because their actions do not seem to be those of people who have a plan. Their actions are those of people who have many, many plans that they flit to and from like a bee looking for pollen on a windy day, which is not something I associate with brilliant robot overlords. And I don't even want to discuss how nothing surround the final five, or the final one, makes ANY SENSE AT ALL.
I'm not actually worried they won't resolve The Plan and explain the final 5. There are plenty of explanations that can be contorted to fix the facts. I'm afraid they'll do so stupidly. These writers are very, very good at certain things, but I see no evidence that they know what those things are. If they waste a second of the last 400 minutes on Starbuck/Adama (any Adama, including Zack, who's apparently coming back in one form or another) the internets will burn with my righteous anger. Oh how they shall burn.
