At some point in the 90s, Michael Crichton was responsible for the top US TV show (ER), the top movie (Jurassic Park), and the top book (Scientists Do Bad Things And Other Scientists Save People From Them). You'd think that would be pretty fucking rare. But at some other point in the 90s, Tim Allen had the top TV show (Home Improvement), the top move (Jingle All the Way?) and the top book (Men Are Children So Women Should Mother Them And Also Have Sex With Them). And I only know that because it came up in a discussion about Al Gore winning an Oscar and the Nobel Peace Prize in the same year. Does anyone know of anyone else who's accomplished this?
