Netflix math

Somehow, I got stuck thinking that the solution was Netflix DVDs + Netflix Streaming- probably because when I signed up they were a package deal. But I finally put it together that Netflix Streaming + Library is also a pretty good solution, especially when there's not a lot in the must watch category, so I don't risk a sudden lump of ALL THE SHOWS. I may be driven back to netflix DVDs when I want to watch all seasons of a popular show in order, or one of those shows that inexplicably has more than 12 episodes per season, but that bridge can be crossed when I come to it.
So I guess I'm now in the category of people Netflix helped with their price increase. Huh. Guess I shouldn't have accused them of making it up.
Also, Netflix, why do you force me to click twice- through very slow loads- to get to my instant queue, but use up a primary tab on Just For Kids. I'm a busy person
- watch all the things I am driven to watch
- never be without something at least acceptable to watch.
Means
- Library: Free, has most things I want, highly likely to experience peaks of nothing to watch for weeks, and then way too much to watch, especially if I try for popular titles.
- Netflix DVDs: $8, has nearly everything, distribution is even but still leaves gaps.
- Netflix Streaming: $8, very limited selection, will always be ready to entertain me with no waste.
- Other DVD rental or streaming services: none look satisfactory.
