fuck you doctors
Apr. 29th, 2010 04:58 pmFRIDAY:
me- "my allergies are intolerable and claritn is insufficient. Can I take two, or is there another drug that would help?"
doctor's assistant- "I will call you back today with an answer"
TUESDAY:
assistant- "here are two drugs that might help, one of which is well known for its completely intolerable side effects, and the other of which I can't spell, or even get close enough to find on your own"
me- "ummm, neither of those are helpful."
assistant- "I will find out the other drug and call you back"
THURSDAY:
assistant- "So that test you asked for weeks ago that we wouldn't order and won't tell you why? We still won't order it for you and won't tell you why, but I will say you're stupid for wanting it"
me- "um, okay. What about my allergies? What's the spelling of that drug? If my allergies hadn't gotten better on their own I'd be in agony right now"
assistant- "why are you whining, you said they went away. Besides, I gave you TWO DRUGS to try."
me- "you couldn't even spell the second one"
assistant- "I can't read the doctor's handwriting and I'm not going to ask her again. I'll have to research it on my own"
me- "I don't care how you find the name of the drug."
assistant (in angry teenager voice)- "GOOD."
