- Apparently he did very little vetting beforehand, which reinforces the idea that he simply went for someone to grab headlines. Desperate.
- It's kind of cool that if one part picks a black candidate, the other has to pick a woman to avoid getting completely bowled over.
- I'd be happier about this if I agreed with any of her positions at all.
- Nonetheless, her election might do some good for women. An example of a woman who has kids, including one with special needs, and nonetheless does a very demanding job because her husband watches them, is kind of neat.
- Luckily I'll be able to get abortions in Canada after she and McCain outlaw them.
- Announcing her during Obama's speech, in order to bump him of the news cycle, shows that McCain is playing poorly thought out defense. Desperate.
- This will not help him with the fundies as much as he thinks. Sure, a lot of them, especially the leaders, are political creatures that ignore the policies the espouse under the bus in an attempt for power. But I can't picture the true believers voting for a woman.
- Nor will it help him with the dejected Hillary supporters. They're upset by the narrative that an older, competant woman got replaced by younger, less experienced man. I'm not sure older, competant woman gets replaced by older white dude and much younger former beauty queen, who btw, does not have much experience is going to make them happier.
