Anecdote from CS class
Sep. 6th, 2003 02:11 amThe prof was talking about sets, and picked an obvious example to demonstrate: sorting students in the class into male and female. First, he gestured at Mike and some guy sitting next to him, and said "making certain assumptions, these people are in the same set." Then he gestured at me and Mike and said "these two are in different sets. And she is in a set with..." Then there was a ten second pause as he tried to find another girl.
